Neal
When Neal Anderson's older brother, Robin, became a bass player, Neal got to meet and hang out with some of the area's best musicians.
After starting on piano, Neal switched to guitar, and has been a fixture on the local music scene for the last 3 decades.
Having played in too many bands to count
(or keep track of), Neal has been lucky enough to share the stage with most of his local heroes.
Neal still juggles several musical projects, including playing with the Wannabies and acoustic gigs, and was thrilled when Larry decided to get Nightfall back together.
With a set list that focuses on Neal's favorite era of music, Nighfall allows Neal to play a wide variety of styles.
Who says you can't go home?!?!?
Sharon
Sharon Bertke has been singing since she was a small girl and still possesses a burning fire to entertain that has never been extinguished. In the 90's, she won multiple singing awards and was a member of Double Effort & Bushwack Bands, all which were stepping stones that led to her sucessful solo career for over 10 years.
In 2015, after taking a long break from her singing profession, Sharon decided to jump back on the entertainment wagon to pursue her God-given talent. Music has taught her "You may not end up where you thought you would be, but you'll end up right where you're meant to be." She couldn't be more excited to be a part of this wonderful group of very talented musicians and looks forward to every show, rockin' it out with Nightfall and all its audience!!
Brenda
Brenda Mendenhall helps to recreate that classic 80s rock sound with various keyboard backgrounds, riffs, and solos. Her occasional sax and harmonica solos generate even more energy and variety for the band and audience. She has played in various rock, country, and rhythm and blues bands in the tri-state area over the past 35 years.
Scott
Scott Hole got his love for music from his dad, Merrill. At the age of 13 he got his first guitar for Christmas from his parents.
An original member of the band Artesia from 1978 until it's breakup in 1991, Scott had searched for that “perfect fit” in a band, but never found it….UNTIL…Larry approached him in August of 2010 with an offer he had no problem answering ‘YES’ too! And that was to join Nightfall Band for this one time reunion.
Larry
Larry Selhorst, currently residing in St. Henry, OH, started playing the drums at the age of eight years old. He has been playing in bands throughout high school and most of his adult life. Larry is the timekeeper of the band and has a unique style of drumming.
Some of his influences are his father, Neil Peart, John Bonham, Mike Portnoy, Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich, the list goes on. He enjoys many styles of music but his favorite is 80’s Classic Rock.
Larry would like to thank his wife Pat for allowing him to enjoy what he loves to do – play music!!
